Like every craftsman, the workshop IS a work in progress. Mine is no

different. It needs a major facelift. Larger would always be better. It
is in Central Florida and although 50+ years of hurricanes, tornados,
tropical storms, critter infestations and verbal abuse has taken a toll,
it remains stalwart in this incarnation as a wood shop. Perhaps one day
we will be rebuild, but for now it is a happy, peaceful place to
create.

My Tilty Old Workshop

In its years, it has been used for parking cars, candlemaking, storage, water bed frame making, entertaining and now a woodworking shop. It has
always been a haven for NEWTS, what I call any lizardy thing (too many species to remember, hence my nickname). I am now challenged
to somehow fit in a silver working bench to accommodate our new found
interest.

I love to look at pictures of other's work spaces ( they give me inspiration) and hope that you will enjoy mine.

Thanks for your comments Cathy, although the shop was cleaned before I took these shots. You should see it now.
We lost a humongous oak in that tornado of '97. It was thrown, roots and all, on the house next door. Thankfully no one was hurt.

Oh yeah - my parents had a place in Haines City in the 90's until my dad died. We visited once in '97 between Christmas and New Year's and they had a tornado! LOL

Wow - It always amazes me to see "clean" woodworking shops! You give my brother competition for the cleanest I've ever seen!! LOL

Thanks Diane, sounds like fun. If my pesky "real job" wouldn't keep getting in the way, we might start doing shows again. Peace in Wood, Scott

Brooksville, Newt. we're just starting craft shows on Saturdays where they rope off the street in front of the Couthouse. Once a month they're having Brooksville nights and seem to be doing well!

Thanks Judy! We have friends in Venice and we plan on doing the Sun Fiesta there (Oct.15-17). We stay with them. Perhaps if you're not doing anything that weekend you might drive up for a meet and perhaps we can do breakfast at Althea's (YUM). ~ Peace in Wood, Scott

I love it! If you guys are ever head further south in Florida, let me know and you can come visit. I have always opened my home to traveling crafters for a place to stay when doing shows in the area. Judy
