Community Guidelines

The following guidelines are applicable to all areas in the Zibbet Community, including the forums, groups, chat, blog comments etc.

1. CONDUCT:

1.1  Treat others with respect. If you don't agree with the viewpoint of another member that is OK, however it is not OK to belittle that person or be rude to them. Everyone has different opinions, that's what makes us unique! 

1.2  Use appropriate language. Please don't swear, use abbreviations of swear words, purposeful miss-spellings of swear words, or use vulgar inappropriate language. Our community includes people from all walks of life. You may be OK with swearing, or being vulgar in your circle of friends, however we must keep in mind that we are a community with people from many different backgrounds. We don't want anyone to feel left out or offended.  This includes the posting of inappropriate links to websites that may be offensive in nature.

1.3  No calling out. Please don't post links to other peoples shops that you think might be in breach of Zibbet's Terms Of Use. Please use the 'report this item to Zibbet' link so that we can review it. It's not fair on the seller to be publicly shamed for something they may or may not have done wrong.

1.4  Respect Zibbet. We ask that you please be respectful of Zibbet's staff, moderators and customer service representatives. We try our hardest to make this site as great as it can be and will always do our best to solve any issues you might have as fast as possible. If you would like to express your displeasure with Zibbet, please do so respectfully. You will get an answer from a Zibbet staff member (or from one of our fellow community members) and we'll do our best to alleviate any concerns you may have. We don't pretend to be perfect, but we'll never stop trying to be (cliche I know! But it's true!). 


2. PROMOTION:

2.1  No excessive linking to other venues.  You are not allowed to excessively promote your items that you have listed on other venues/websites in the community.  If you would like to promote that particular item to members of the community we would ask that you list it on Zibbet first and then share the Zibbet link. 

2.2  Don't SPAM.  Please don't promote other websites using affiliate links. Feel free to discuss the pro's and con's of other competing websites, but direct promotion will not be allowed and will be removed at our discretion. You have the ability to mass-message your friends list and people in your group - please don't do this. We don't have the ability to turn this function off.

2.3  No fundraising.  Please don't use the community platform to solicit donations or fund-raise in any way.

Our general approach to offending members will be to provide a single warning to let them know of their breach. If they continue to breach the guidelines outlined above, they will be removed and banned from the community. We have to take this hard-line approach if we are to maintain the great culture of this wonderful community!
