Zibbet Mentors

As this wonderful venue grows, there are going to be new people joining who are going to need help. I would like to have a group of mentors that are willing to lend a hand, answer questions and guide new shop owners through the Zibbet process.

Oh bless the one who came up with this idea! It gets ever so frustrating creating, working, doing and not making any sales. I know I will welcome any advice you can give.

I know upgrading would be good, but until I actually see some money flowing in I just can't afford this right now.
Could anyone take a look at my shop and let me know what I could to better? I appreciate it. Thanks so much.

Hello everyone!  My name is Peg, and I'd like to join the Zibbet Mentors group.

Although I haven't been here for too long (since September), I'm on 2 other on-line selling venues, so I think I can help out.

I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you better. Have a great 2011!

Peg

I posted this in the E-Commerce group too, but thought I'd add it here:
I'm having trouble with the tax listings for in-state sales. Anyone have any suggestions for setting up a structure within Paypal that will accommodate 16 different rates, not all of which correspond to a zip code? That's the situation in Washington state.
Thanks, PJ (Ruby Slippers Post)

Click the my zibbet button at the top of the screen and you will be on your listings page. Just under the word listings is a row of small headings you can click: They are all items, list new item, expired, unlisted and favourites. The unlisted items should appear inthe all items list , as well as the the unlisted list. Take a look and see if you can find them:-)

I'll do that. They've only been up yesterday and today. How do you find an unlisted item? I unlisted several I didn't like but now don't see them anywhere. I thought they were deleted.

You know, one day when I was trying to upload photos they all came out stretched. This really puzzled me so I left them and came back to check my shop later and they looked normal. Have you had this problem today or over several days. It might be worth posting them , leaving them there and coming back to check them later. You can leave an item unlisted so that the public cant see it.

Yes. Thanks for the question. But I did do just that. The images started as large PS files because I'd used them for the cards. But I created jpgs and re-sized according to Zibbet's specs. But the images just keep coming in muddy and some get blurry. The flowers especially. In fact, I deleted a few. Even the smaller jpgs look fine before I upload them. You can see the difference on my other site (www.rubyslipperspost.com). But other Zibbet vendors have some great shots which look fine. So I'm sure it's something I'm doing (or not doing).
