I came across a brilliant idea from a friend of mine, who does this same sort of thing but with other parents who trade sporting equipment: I’m hosting a Yarn Trading Party. I’ve got 4 other friends…Continue

Hi everyone - I'm looking for some USED CORKS - not the plastic/rubber ones but the ACTUAL corks from wine bottles (not champagne corks). Size doesn't matter. Whether they're wine stained or not also doesn't matter.
My brother & his fiancee are getting married in August 2012, and she's making place settings for each guest, which she needs corks for! She's making them with about 4-6 corks per place setting, she currently only has enough to make about a quarter of them.
If anyone is willing to make a PIF for me on zibbet, for 10 or more corks, I'm willing to pay for shipping. Just send me a msg with the link, and I'll pick them up! The goal is to reach at least 400 corks, if I can gift it to them for valentine's day or easter it'd be great!

I upcycle anything made of fabric into whatever it becomes. Seems like most of the time I am pleasantly surprised when it takes on the new life just waiting to be discovered.
Comment by Daria Tallman on September 14, 2011 at 3:36pm Greetings Everyone!
Shortly, I'll be on my way to a business webinar amongst other things before "Cinderella Time"! However, as some of you already know this year has been a "Wild Ride" for me, since I became "Vice President" of the "Grant County Art Guild" in SW New Mexico. It's one of the oldest "Art Guilds" in the area, and needed some 21st Century revamping, too. LOL!!! In addition, the President had to pass on her hat to me in order to care for her aged & sick mom. Hence, my participation in the "Zibbet Community" has been limited lately due to wearing 2 hats. However, after our biggest event this month I'll be back in the loop more often than I've been able to. In the meantime, I've stopped in to "Cordially Invite" my fellow "Zibbeters" to my newest "FB" business page. For those who want to become even more personal just FB - Daria Tallman (with the photo). Newest Business "FB" Page Official Invitation:

Comment by ArtFairly Aware on September 7, 2011 at 5:09pm Hi! I'm Lois from Artfairly Aware. I try to recycle and upcycle as much as I can. I put fair trade coffee into everything I make--it's recycled--I brew it, enjoy it and redry it before I add it to my clay or paint. I also recycle wine bottles into oil or vinegar decanters and I love to turn old jewelry into something new. I also use empty coffee bags and old calendars to make my shipping envelopes.
I'm fairly new--still need to add more items--I'd love for you to stop by!
