I have never participated in craft fairs here in NY. When I'm in Floriday I do because its so cheap. Many times table rental is only 10-20 dollars. I'm interested to know how many of you do…Continue

I'm out in Stony Brook on LI, but need to make a trip into the city to stock up on yarn. And I'm always looking for deals. But I have no leads. Can any fiber folk recommend places for me? Thanks !

Anyone know of any bead shops or shows in the Mid Hudson area (or anywhere in that area)? I am up there some in the summer and am on the look out for new shops or shows.

I live on the NW corner of Central Park, and 1 block form Morningside Park (which is gorgeous in the summer). There is a a Farmer's Market that gathers every Saturday at the Morningside corner, May to November, but they won't let me set up a table. Grrr. But if anybody has NYC connections, maybe a group of us could get a permit for 1 day. It's a great corner with lots of traffic from Columbia, St. John the Divine, and the many tourists in the Park.
Comment by Mariana on February 15, 2012 at 9:59am I would be thrilled to attend a gallery show of Zibbet artists. All fine art painters, fine art photographers, do get together! I'm an author, so I do readings, not shows, and will post here about my upcoming reading at McNally's. But I'm also a jewelry designer, and sell my brother's fine art prints in my shop, so I'll be a cheerleader for you all! :)
Hi, I am a New York City child born and bred. I grew up in Brooklyn and came back to live in Greenwich Village NYC when I "made it." Now retired, I am a fine art painter selling on Zibbet.
I am very interested in seeing a real gallery show for us in NYC. For example, I have shown, off and on at Jadite Gallery, 50th street off 9th Ave. There are three rooms. They take a set fee for a month's show and 40 % of sales.
Thoughts?
Welcome, Hentietta! (from a former NYer)
Comment by Henrietta Foster on January 25, 2012 at 7:49am Hello fellow New Yorkers! I live in the Rochester area and just set up a jewelry shop on Zibbet. I have been crafting and creating all my life but just started selling my work.
Didn't you make it a closed group? If so,no one but members see, just like the Zibbet shop owners group.

Comment by Mariana on January 23, 2012 at 11:53am A question-- if we post in our NY facebook group-- will that be seen on our personal FB pages? It'll be great to have a space to strategize, etc., but my other friends & fam don't need to see my business chatter! FB still mysifies me, I don't know why! Thanks!
