My name is Rebecca and I learned how to knit as a child but recently picked it up again the last couple of years. Below is a shawlette I recently completed using my own hand-spun wool and silk yarn:
It also has lovely sparkles in it that absolutely glitter in the sunlight, but unfortunately the camera did not pick that up!
Looks very soft.

Permalink Reply by Carolyn Sloan on November 29, 2011 at 4:09pm The picture represents a custom Christmas order that I have just completed - the customer specifically asked for a "fuzzy top" on a little beanie (pastel color requested) for a little one.....she mentioned a "dandelion" hat that she had seen a while back....so I thought the fuzzy top hat might represent a flower of sorts......and added a green "stem" and shades of pink that graduate up to the fuzzy top.............what fun!
I'm anxious to do again, with different color combination.....

Miss Grandmother, this hat is positively fantabulous!!!! love it and am envious of your requests and need to create girly stuff. I am working on hats with attached beards for the boys. Yes, beards....oh, to do something pink!!!!!
