Need Handspun? Need more than 100 yards? 1 Reply

A thing I have noticed for many handspinners online is they sell in small quantities, making it hard to do large projects. I generously welcome LARGE projects! Need 300 yards? I can do that. 500? I…Continue

Hi!  I'm a self taught knitter and I love learning new stitches and techniques. I do have a question for you all though.

When I knit I don't turn my work--I go back and forth like a knitting machine.  Does anyone else knit this way?  Or am I just weird.  I also prefer to do everything on circular needles.

I've just joined zibbet, I came over from etsy.  My shop is http://www.zibbet.com/willowmistfibers  I have a fiber farm and I create hand spun art yarns (all hand processed from our animals, the only electricity used is for the clippers at shearing time and my crock pots for dying!), art batts and hand painted tops.  I also make some finished goods from them as well, but I much prefer spinning!  I try to make my skeins of yarn at least 200 yards or more every time!  I primarily use alpaca, merino or rambo and lots of tussah or mulberry silk!  And I love sparkle, so if you are into bling, like me... check me out! :-)  I can also do custom orders.  Any color, any fiber, just let me know.  Happy knitting everyone! :-)

Please check out my most recent blog post - it's all about how knitting an owl cup cozie that I designed will help adopt two owls via World Wildlife Fund! The goal is to raise $50 by Christmas 2012 to adopt a Barn Owl & a Snowy Owl!

Not so much a sale but a 'hallowe'en' special - choose an amount of fingering yarn equalling to 300 yards in Hallowe'en colors - black, red or Orange, and get 25% off the total cost with the coupon HOLIDAYS (This also applies to other holiday combos, like red/green, blue/white, red/yellow)

You can find the red, orange and white samples at the bottom of the second page. Sadly my camera wasn't working when we visited the supplier, so all the pictures didnt work :(

I just put all my 'Ready to Ship' skeins on sale 1-3 dollars off! These ones have NO wait time, I just put them in their packaging and ship them off!

Also I have already some Midnight Blue Corriedale, as well as will be aquiring Red and Navy blue Corriedale for another purchase, so these colors are available much faster!
