Hi everybody -- I tried to see if anybody started this thread before, but I am a HUGE pet person.  They keep me company when I work and just brighten my day.  I am really curious to see other Zibbeter's pets!  Please post your photos here :D  What kinds of pets do you have and why?

This is Ame the cat (her name means candy or rain in Japanese depending on the characters you use!).  She is my "study buddy" and one of my favorite "people."  I also have a wonderful little newt named Sushi and a lizard named Miso.

My husband and I live in a house owned by four cats. My LOC Design Studio shop is named for the three inside kitties that we refer to collectively as "The Girls"...

Lluvia, the tabby, is the "Queen" and considers all of us her subjects, including the other two inside kitties. She was a stray rescued by my older son on a rainy day. Her name means rain in Spanish.

Oreo, is sweet and devoted and actually comes when I call her name (most of the time!) We adopted her from a kitty rescue organization so that Lluvia would have a playmate. When they were kittens, my husband called the two of them together "Thunderpaws" because of the loudness their little paws made as they rain through the house!

Cali was also a stray. She is very loveable and very "childlike".

Big Boy is our outside tom cat and was another stray. He is quite the talker. We can see him talking when we drive into the yard even before we can hear him!
This is Lady. My husband and adopted her from a shelter. She is just the sweetest thing!! We just love her to death

My pet is 6'1" and about 180lbs, beard.....my husband. I had dogs while my son was growing up but honestly, though I love them, I've grown a bit selfish.
ROFL!!!!!! that's priceless!

This is my sidekick -Buck aka Buckaroo the beagle. He is always with me. Buck was our first foster dog from a local shelter who just never left. We did adopt him and love him dearly.
Great topic. I'm definitely a cat person. Loved them ever since I was a kid but never had any longer than a day or two for the reason my parents would get rid of them. I was allergic to them. I grew up with this notion (that I'd forever be allergic to them) but to my surprise, I discovered I overcame this little problem in my adulthood.

A year ago, I adopted my first kitten. A while after that, two followed. Brothers. Fairly recently, I found a little one on the street totally starved so I took it in. Before this kitty, another found it's way to my home. I welcomed that one too. Sadly, he didn't make it. He was sick and I lost him a few days ago. I'm sad about this one because I could have taken him to the vet before hand but I never figured this would be the outcome.

Showing my kitties in the order they came along. Mine don't live inside with me though. They'd be too much for me lol.

Ume, your cat is ADORABLE so is everyone else's pets.

Said a lot, haven't I? :)

This one is the latest I found on the street. She's doing very well.
I believe everyone has seen my furbaby Muffy since she happens to be my avatar. This little girl is almost 15 years old and can still out walk me. When my son was 3, he asked for a black fuzzy dog, with floppy ears and a long tail. Well, Muffy has all those qualifications and she is truly loved by everyone.

I love seeing everyone's pets! :D

This is Baby, my crazy and unoriginally named (I never meant for him to be called "Baby" forever, but it just...stuck.) cat, demonstrating the kittyloaf. He showed up on my doorstep as a starving kitten about five years ago, and I love having him around. He's an inside-outside cat and, like Garfield, adores lasagna.
This is Lad, my Border Collie. He is 11 years old. He gets along with all animals. Even my daughter's pet rats.

How cute...they match! ^_^
I love this thread! It's wonderful to see all your pets! Here are mine:

Simba, is my 11 year old tabby. He's a diabetic. I've been treating him for almost a year. He gets 2 insulin shots per day.

Boogie, this little guy was adopted from the SPCA when he was just a baby. He is now 18 1/2 years old.

Tika, is one of our strays who comes everyday for his needs. Apparently the name Tika means "Wonder of Life"

This is Tux (Tuxedo) the newest stray who comes everyday for a little TLC.
It is so good to see so many adopted pets. As a foster home for dogs, I sure understand the need for so many animals to find really good "forever" homes.
