We've all been tweeting, facebooking, stumbling and kaboodling but I am finding Pinterest to be much more interesting.
One Zibbeter emailed me and said she is tired of all the promotion pages where we all throw our stuff in front of each other so much as to say, please buy my stuff. I told this person that Pinterest is NOT about that but includes that.
Pinterest boards are much more interesting because they are not just a collection of stuff to buy from each other, as they include our interests. I find it is a beautiful way to collect bookmarks.
This page shows some samples of how you can use Pinterest to plan a party, a wedding, home building plans, collect craft ideas you hope to make someday, decorate your home, plan for a new baby, plan a trip, collect recipes and more.
Yes, you can make a bulletin board there for all the things you have for sale on Zibbet. But in addition, to make your Pinterest more interesting, you can make more Bulletin Boards for other subjects of interest to you. My daughter just started one and so far she a board for Unicycle pictures and well...you can see hers here: http://pinterest.com/cutieonauni/
My Pinterest has a wide variety of things that interest me like books, recipes, pets and more.
But notice I also have bulletin boards where I am posting all the Featured Zibbeters articles and all the Fantasic Fives. Another Board for stuff I like on Zibbet. I'm getting Zibbet in there, but I want people to follow me, so I try to add other bulletin board subjects to attract more followers who might follow the recipes I post and ultimately find Zibbet and buy from you or me.

What makes Pinterest so beautiful is that all that shows are the photos. Click on the photo and it takes you to where the item is on the web. Right to the item in your shop if you post your items there.
I suggest we all start pinning items to our Pinterest. But keep it interesting! Mix it up Ziibet and anything else you love.
If you have questions ask here.
If you already have a Pinterest post the link here so we can follow each other.
For the record: I got one sale already of an item Frauke posted on her Pinterest boards.
Happy Pinning.
Judy
PS One word of warning: It's ADDICTING.

Permalink Reply by Portable Graffiti Graphics Judy on September 2, 2011 at 11:53am You can put a Pin-It (I don't know the technical term) thingy in your bookmarks bar so when you are on a web apge of something you like, you just click that to pin it to your pinterest. You'll get a drop down box of all the boards you created, just choose the board you want to stick it to.
