I'm not sure how many of you are aware of this tool but I thought to share it anyway. If you type in your shop name, you can see where you have been mentioned on the web. You might find yourself on someone's blog post and you weren't aware of it.
That is why it pays to promote your shop/items where you can. You never know who will pick your links and where they will be seen.

Arty Lou, this link does not connect. Is there another part to the address?
Permalink Reply by Arty Lou on January 19, 2012 at 7:09am That's the only draw back. Sometimes the site doesn't load. It was fine about an hour ago. It should be ok later.
Thank you, I'll try later. Probably very busy.
Permalink Reply by MillicentRaven ( Dawn ) on January 19, 2012 at 11:31am I have been trying for a couple of hours but it's still not working.
Permalink Reply by Arty Lou on January 19, 2012 at 11:47am Still not working for me either. It's like it takes ages to load and never does.
Frustrating.
For once I try and show you guys something of interest and it just won't work, lol.
Totally worth it though. I check once in a while to see if I've been mentioned somewhere new.
It worked and you are right, very, very interesting. I'm not sure I understand it completely, but interesting. Thanks!!
Permalink Reply by Arty Lou on January 19, 2012 at 11:49am Just a tip. Some shop owners have more than one word in their shop name. If yours does too, type that in as a whole word (no spaces), for more accurate results.
Similar to this (although I too couldn't get the site to load :( ) is Google Alerts - you can receive an email each time Google picks up your search term (eg; your shop name) in a new place:

Thanks Jess.
Permalink Reply by NIFTYKNITS (Heather) on January 20, 2012 at 2:05am I use google alert, but annoyingly there is another shop called niftyknits so I get to hear about their new dog coats as well!
