Hello Zibbeters!
Looking for a cool place to show off your doodle skills and send them off you your Zibbet friends?
Where is it located? It is the last tab in the navigation panel in the community hub.
What is Ortist? Originally, Ortist is a fun drawing application for Orkut, a social networking site owned by Google. Ortist is available for other social networking places such as Zibbet's Community Hub.
How do you use it? Well, you don't need to be an artist to use it. It is just for fun and is a care-free activity to pass the time as you jump around the Zibbet community.
The functions:
Color - You can choose any color offered in the hex selections, or you may enter in your own code for a color.
Thickness - This controls how thick your brushstroke is. At the start, the thickness is preset to 10.
Opacity - The higher this setting is, the darker (less see-through) the color will be. Any other number than 100% is lighter than that actual color, so when you go over it again in another stroke, the area will get darker. Play around with this to get the feel of it. At the start, the opacity is preset to 90%
Square Tool - This tool will allow you to make a square or rectangle, making one corner where you first click your cursor, and the opposite corner where you let go.
Line Tool - This tool will allow you to make a line, making one end where you first click your cursor, and the opposite end where you let go.
Circle Tool - This tool enables you to make a perfect circle or ellipse.
Drawing Tool - Use this to draw freely.
Splash Tool - Please note that this is not a tool to fill in an enclosed area. This will only help you fill an entire background one color, and it splashes paint in random areas in the vicinity you choose.
Eraser Tool - The eraser will make your brushstroke white and 100% opacity to erase any mistakes you make.
Undo - This will undo your last stroke. Use this as many times as you want to keep undoing each previous stroke made.
New Ort - Select this if you would like to start over without saving.
Save Ort - When you are done, be sure to click "Save Ort" and give your masterpiece a name! Afterward, you will be prompted to send your Ort to your Zibbet friends. Just select the names you wish to send to, or else cancel, and you will be able to view, play, and share the artwork at another time. You may also click the "share" option and send it to the different social networking sites (facebook, twitter, etc.) or to people's e-mails.
Play - This is the BEST part! You can play back every move you made to create your work of "ort." ;)
Here is a picture of what Ortist looks like and where these tools are located:
Last but not least...
When you click on the "Ortist - Graphical Scrapbook" tab, you will be directed to three different tabs.
The first one it will automatically direct you to is "Create Ort" where you can do all of the stuff mentioned above.
The other two tabs are "Orts drawn by you" and "Orts on your wall."
"Orts drawn by you" will display all Orts you have ever drawn, with the options to play them back, forward Orts to friends on Zibbet, delete your Orts, or copy the code to display on a friend's scrapbook (you can use the codes as described below).
"Orts on your wall" will allow you to view all of the Orts sent by other friends to you.
If you wish to have Orts displayed on your community page, there are two ways to do this. One way is to save the picture and upload it to an album on Zibbet. The more popular way is to copy the individual codes of your Orts and paste them into a new "Text Box" on your page. These codes also work in many blogs, websites, and social networks, so go have some fun!
Phew!
Now friend me and spam me with your lovely artworks!
Get Orting, Zibbeters! Blargenkapenforg! What do these words mean?!
