So as many people have already stated:  Why don't I get any sales?

I have GA on my shop and many weeks I don't get a single real view (bots don't count).  Even if I advertise for the Zibbet shop, nothing will draw in potential buyers.  What is up with this?  On Etsy, I am starting to get sales again which is nice.  So here is the big question, what can I do better?

Check out my shop and let me know: http://www.zibbet.com/lepelstatcrafts

I am in the same boat as you are. I sell my stuff locally, but having a hard time on zibbet. I dont see a single thing wrong, but that is just my opinion. As other people have said in older threads it could be because zibbets is small compared to etsy and the economy.

Same here...only one sale in the last 6 months, but have sales on Etsy...concentrating on getting traffic to zibbet should be the main objective here. Not improving shop pages or gift ideas and such etc. Once the traffic of buyers are here then the improvement of the shops and programs will fall into place. If no one is selling then we will all leave for other avenues. Criticizing others shops and making improves is also not going to help unless we have the traffic...I understand these are key points...but changing and changing your shop to try to get sales is not going to get customers to buy when the customer are not here to buy....when searching for other avenues to sell on line, Z is not even in the top ten. Articles don't even list Z as an option. I understand the Z is small but who can afford to sit here and wait for the right clientele to show up and buy...I for one can't afford to continue once my account expires. It appears I will be searching other avenues in 2012. Blaming the economy and Z being of a small company that is still growing can't be the only reason the traffic is not here. If you can afford to wait it out, then go for it and do the waiting game. Others like my self can't wait. And from what I've seen in my area and other sites...they are still buying just being picky and watching what they spend. So they are out there. We just  need the traffic. This is just my opinion. We are all here to give opinion and not be ripped apart for saying so.

Mike-

I have a few quick observations regarding your shop.

You are concerned about what seems to be low visits to your shop.  You could improve your SEO.  Right now you have no shop title.  There are some benefits to deleting that (doing so moves everything below the banner about 42 pixels up the page).  But when your concern is low visits you probably should work on getting great content in your shop title line.  Not only does this line inform shoppers who you are and what your shop is about, it is used by search engines as an important element in matching your shop to searches.  Put in a title line that includes important keywords so your shop comes in higher in searches for products such as yours.  If you are having trouble identifying keywords, a starting point could be the Adwords Keyword Tool

Once you get shoppers in your door, there are some things you might do differently to increase the chance that those shoppers will become buyers.

Although your shop is not displaying the premium seller badge, I assume you are premium since you have a custom color scheme.  I think the thumbnails of products such as yours normally look much better in the larger, 3-across format rather than the smaller 4-across you are using.  While it does mean shoppers need to scroll more to see the same number of items, having images that pop visually can help to grab the interest of a shopper.  If you have compared the appearance of the two sizes and think smaller thumbnails as just as good for your products, stick with them.  Otherwise, anyone with a premium shop should take a good look at the larger version.

Keep in mind that all thumbnails on Zibbet are square.  When a rectangular photo is cropped for the thumbnail, important parts may be lost, and shoppers' perceptions may suffer as a result.  Some of the worst examples of this are seen in cases of headless dolls.  You don't have quite that problem, but the thumbnail for your Walnut & Cherry Jewelry Box would be better if it showed the entire box.  Sometimes if an item is very thin it is necessary to use a closeup of just a portion for the thumbnail.  And in order to have variety in the thumbnails for visual interest on the page a few partial images may be okay.  I think with a little effort all your items could be depicted in square photos, which would ensure there are no unpleasant surprises in the thumbnails.  Even your pens could be shown in square images if you rotate them to diagonals rather than a vertical or horizontal orientation.

There are a few typographic and grammar errors on your profile and policies pages.  Nothing too major jumped out at me, but you could fix those for a more professional presentation.

You have very appealing products.  Who would not love a Toilet Tea Candle Holder?  (Although some Zibbeters might be put off by the reference to Etsy in the description.)  (And is it gray as it appears in the photos, or white since the materials say 'white paint'?)

Even though I had more sales when I was on Etsy, for me Zibbet is much more cost effective because of what I save on listing and sales fees, even with the cost of premium shops.  When I did my annual craft show last month I talked up Zibbet to shoppers and other vendors.  As the word spreads, we all will be doing better.

Happy selling.

One other thing I just noticed; on your "My Page" the address you give for your Zibbet shop sends a person to your website not your Zibbet shop.  Changing that to your Zibbet address might help you get some traffic from here.  You can do that under setting on My Page and it should be www.zibbet.com/yourshopname.

Wow totally forgot about changing the website.  It used to be a re-direct into the shop since it is hard to remember how to spell the shop name for some people.

Thank you for the feedback!
