New Shop Layout, New Blog Layout, Logo Redesign... Feedback please!

Hi everyone!  I just unveiled my new logo/shop/blog today and I wanted to get some feedback (positive or negative!  I really want to know what works and what does not for you.)  I have gone with a black/grey/red/white scheme this time around.

I think the thing I am most proud of is my new logo (the little face).  I like to play with vector art and I wanted something really unique to stand for the shop.  I also reduced the size of my announcement in the process.

My idea was to go back to basics so I tried to refine what I had so this design is a lot less cluttered than my past two.  Do you find it too simple?  Does the shop and the blog seem cohesive enough for you?  I am trying to make it a more seamless experience between the two and doing better to integrate them.

Anyhow.  I am really excited!  But if you don't like the new look, I honestly WANT to know.  Please don't hold back!  I really do not want to fish for compliments here -- please tell me what parts you like or find effective and what could be designed better.

Thanks Zibbeters!

Personally, I find no flaws. I think they both look perfect, simple and very professional! I liked the banner you had previously on your shop too but I understand the need for change. Perhaps to coordinate colors especially since Zibbet changed their color schemes(?).

Very nice :)
I love it! You've got a real talent for design and have loved all 3 of your different looks that your shop has had.

Really love the logo and style of fonts chosen. It's a great example of how great our Zibbet Premiums shops can look!
Very beautiful.
Are you planning to revamp your Twitter profile to match?

The 'clean' look is wonderful. I really have no criticisms, but I will ask: the red of the Zibbet logo in your shop is much brighter - more scarlet - than the red I see elsewhere in your shop and in your blog. Is that deliberate?
Very nice Ume! It's really a nice clean look, I love it! and your items picts are so gorgeous! Great job!!!
I love it, the colours and clean lines are so pretty and sophisticated! I think the seamlessness between your shop and your blog works well, and the logo is just lovely. I (not to mention my ancient computer) sometimes get overwhelmed by blogs with tons and tons of buttons and widgets and stuff, so I really like your back-to-basics approach---it's easy to look at, understand, and navigate.
Radical banner! Very professional looking. Gives me thought to take a hard look at mine. The blog looks great as well.
Peace in Wood, Scott
Thanks so much, that is some awesome news to me! I don't really have anybody I can ask around here so I have no idea if something is going to "work" or not until I actually make it!

Arty Lou -- Haha, this was definitely part of my thinking! Since we no longer have control over the menu bar anymore, I wanted to coordinate the grey in somehow so that it all matched. The grey with the pink looked fine, but I think this is smoother.

Silverlight -- I am definitely going to give the twitter and the facebook a revamp to go along :) I have a bad habit of changing everything before getting solid feedback and then having to redo stuff later in the game so I was trying to head that off this time around. The lighter red in the logo was not deliberate and thanks for pointing that out! On my mac they looked pretty close, but I am working on a diff. computer now and I see your point. I darkened it a little bit and I am going to use the same red in the word "ume" to bring it together more when I get back home. Here it looks a little *too* brick red and I want it more along the lines of the girl's lips. Thank you!!!!

Kathleen -- I definitely know what you mean!!! My computer isn't even that ancient but when websites have long load times it makes me question. Widgets tend to do that if you have too many and they were just killing my load time. And part of me just felt that who really cares how many people follow my blog on X, Y, Z networks? Only me! So better for me not to clutter it all up. I moved away from blogger and my site was starting to look more and more like it (which would be okay, but I pay hosting for my site so that I can have creative control!)

Everyone else -- Thanks so much for your comments <3 I am so happy to hear that others have taken to it as much as I have! I went to bed last night and I woke up to a flurry of comments. It is such a joy to be a part of such an active (and helpful!) community. *cheers*
