My paypal was hacked.
Yes, it happened last night. She removed my credit card, then my bank
a/c, changed my password, set new security question and set new primary
email to be her. I said the hacker was her since the hacker's email was a
name of a lady but it could be a guy anyway.
I have money around $200 left in paypal. I believe it's now gone. I already called
credit card company to lock my card and contact paypal about this issue.
Now, I'm waiting for paypal's answer.
Normally, I won't leave a large amount in paypal but I'm in Thailand and Thai baht is very strong
lately. So I don't withdraw it yet.
*sigh* I think I'm very careful about password and strange links. I'm sure my password is hard
to guess with uppercase, lowercase, number and special characters all
that. Still, it's not enough.
I access paypal only on my PC, laptop and iphone. Can it be iphone? Well, I'm not sure. Now, I'm not sure of everything.
So just to warn the others. This thing still happens. And when it happens,
you freak out! Okay, change your password periodically even you are so
in love with your usual password so such. Also use different passwords
for all your important account. My email used other password and it's
still safe. Now, I'm running virus and spyware scan on my computers.

I'm not sure the security key is working for me who is in Thailand. I'll check the info again.
Really, I hate this. I don't want it to happen again or to anyone.
PS. And I just notic that zibbet doesn't have vacation mode so I can't find it. I put my etsy shop on vacation and unlist all my items on zibbet until my paypal issue is solved.

More update.
I just got email and made a call to paypal and verified myself. Now, the unauthorized transactions were locked. Paypal guy was very helpful and patient with me because my English speaking skill is not very good. lol
Now, I feel a lot relief. Almost couldn't sleep last night.
I'm planning to format both of my computers just in case some spy software got into my system without my knowledge. So be careful everyone. I think I already protected my account well enough but some hackers are still out there and trying to steal our accounts.

Oh so sorry this has happened ~ I know how you feel ~ it happened to our checking account about a year ago, I went to pay my house payment which I have to save up for and it was gone someone had stolen $1000.00 out of our account, luckily the bank immediately got our money back to us (house payment wasn't late!) but you feel so violated, and it scares you! They think it was stolen from use of it on the internet..........This kind-of thing is just going to get worse with the economy like it is!

If it's not happen to myself, I won't understand how it feels. Now, it becomes my other memorable experience that I don't want it to happen to me or other people again.
