Do You Hear the Beeps?
Hey Zibbeters!
Don't be frightened if you hear a bunch of beeping while you are in Zibbet's Community Hub and Community pages.
It's the CHAT! At the bottom right of the screen, you will see a green or red dot. If it is red, you will not hear any beeps. If it is GREEN, you most definitely will.
How to fix it? Click on the GREEN dot, and you should be fine. :)
Be sure to say hello to us chatters in the chat before you leave us (click on that bar down below to expand it)!
There is an alternate way to get to Chat. When you enter the Community Hub, "Chat" is the next-to-last tab in the upper navigation bar.
When I read that someone turned his or her computer off, I knew I had to post this.

Thank you for posting this. I entered chat via the tab across the top of the page, and didn't even notice the bottom right hand corner until you said this. We newbies can use all the help we can get. (Although I am a quick learner most times)

Thanks so much I couldn't figure out what in the world it was. I have checked my computer inside and out and couldn't find anything open, wrong, etc. I thought maybe it was my email or all the problem I have been having with my Shop Stats for two days.
I really appreciate knowing this. I now have a red dot... : ))

You can also leave the button green and turn the volume off.
The volume is the button next to the smiley face.

haha! the chirping feature must be a recent thing, bec i only noticed it w/i the last 10 days or so. but it was driving me nuts, as i kept trying to find what app wanted me to do something. then 2 days ago i finally noticed the little blinking chat icon. haha! the chirping really get one's attention... :) cheryl /seattlechic

The beep isn't a new thing. The new thing is that the chat room is now alive with lots of chatters!!

Thanks for bringing this to everyone's attention.
I'm sure it must frustrate people, but there's no way for us to default the noise to 'off'.
Hopefully they'll see this and all will be well in the world again! :)
