Hi,

I was wondering if anyone on here collects and what they expect to pay for a painting?

Thanks

Move from "site help" to "business topics."

hubby does, but is very picky.

if he loves it, would spend what it takes to get it.

case in point, we bought a painting 2 weeks before daughter broke her finger, and let me tell ya that $ would have been nice to pay that bill! I won't tell you what he paid for it. It is big tho...and a locally known artist.

anyhoo.

price completely depends on artist, somewhat on size, and to you the amount of time put in to it.

I realize that doesn't help much...does it.

sorry.

thank you for that.

So Im not sure if you saw the water color I have that I did in my store. Do you think its priced right?

Thanks

For an original painting, yes, the price seems good, especially since it includes the frame.  (I couldn't tell from the photo, is the painting under glass?) What made you choose a Mario Bros. theme?

As for what price I would be willing to pay for artwork...If I liked something and had the space to hang it, I would find the money.  Because I have limited wall space, I would probably not consider works much above 24x30" for unframed dimensions.  In that size, for an oil that I liked, I would expect to pay $300-500.  Does that help?

That does. Thank you. Mario, because I have always loved playing SMB. That is my inspiration on that.

Interested? lol
