We appear to have another spammer on Zibbet. I received two messages this morning from two different accounts (bbbaaa777666 and boob178000) but the messages read exactly the same. Both accounts are new today.

Be on the alert and be sure to report any messages like this to support@zibbet.com.

I received a message this morning from an account created today with a link directing me to a site of theirs where they sell jewelry findings.

What are these people thinking?!
That's what my messages were about also.

Spammers will take advantage of any and every opportunity they see to accomplish their goals. This one doesn't appear to be related to a scam though--just advertising their website. Of course, that website could be a scam!

Both of these spammers (same person) have been deleted. It's hard to stop these kinds of spammers as they will continually create new accounts on the site. We have already banned visits from Nigeria where scams are most prevalent and where our recent scammers have come from. This one was from China, which is a country we certainly wouldn't ban as we get genuine buyers and sellers from there.

We're going to be adding CAPTCHA's to the first message only that new members send. This will prevent 'bots' from spamming members.
I got these too... "come buy my findings" - bleh. bite me, spammer! :P
Good plan, Jonathan!

Here is another one to add to the list - tttqqq888666

I received a message wanting to sell me findings.
I just got one from qqqjjj666777. Whether legitimate or scam, let's delete the spam. Man, I need sleep.
~ Peace in Wood, Scott

Update: Same spam in my email spam folder.
I got it also!
Same one as Scott. I get these types of messages on other venues too. It is hard because you want your buyers to be able to find you and you want the account creation process to be easy enough for them. But that also opens the window for people like this >./body>
Thank you jonathan, it's gone. i got the zzzbbb one, but it looks like they are creating new ones every few hours and doing the same thing. anyway we can get the dot com place to make them stop? get them at their root? might be more efficient to stop them that way.
Ah yes I got a message from boob178000 last night, next time I get one I'll be sure to report it.
